"Here's in a nutshell about me. My first stint with music was in the year 1975 when I started learning the Indian Percussion Instrument viz; Tabla. I was about 7 years old. Later in my teens I picked up the guitar thanks to my inspirations and idols belonging to the classic rock and blues genres.. Been over 3 decades that I have been part of the independent music industry exploring various genres like rock, pop, jazz and fusion.. Most of my songwriting are based on real life experiences, politics, social issues, self-introspection et al. I have released award winning albums and many singles in the rock and fusion genres which are available across all digital portals. Apart from being a live performer, composer and music producer, I also am an educator.
There's more to my profession & that's my passion for Motorcycling. I have been an ardent motorcycle rider since my teens and I yet continue riding across the country.

Ceasefire released on 25th Nov 2023
‘Ceasefire’, is a tune written, composed and produced by Ravi Iyer. Whenever a war is struck between countries, may it be due to political or socio-economic reasons or other, ultimately the common man is the most affected. An adolescent who is born to learn the treasures of life is unaware about what wars are about and has no idea why a situation of that magnitude arises. The lyrics and the song speak about a conversation between a child and the mother during unfortunate war struck periods, where the mother comforts her child and explains the situation keeping in mind the psychology of the adolescent. It speaks about empowering children to overlook these atrocities and work towards a new beginning for a peace filled life for generations here after. Ceasefire! No War!
